Who are We?

What is our Mission?

Task Force 3 is one of 14 Regional Response Teams established by the Commonwealth of Kentucky

Task Force 3 responds to incidents involving Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), Hazardous Materials and Technical Rescue Incidents.

Task Force 3 assists local agencies in stabilizing these incidents, including the ability to decontaminate up to 500 people.

How are we funded?

Where are we based?

The initial equipment purchased by Task Force 3 was funded through Homeland Security grants. Additional grant applications have been submitted for specific needs of the organization.

There is a Task Force 3 initial response unit stationed in each of the seven counties - Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union & Webster counties. All Task Force 3 resources are placed strategically within the Region and available.

How are we Managed?

A fourteen member Board of Directors, with eleven of these members having voting rights, governs Task Force 3.

The eleven voting members include one representative of each County Fiscal Court, Cities of Henderson & Owensboro, GRADD, GR District Health and the Green River Firefighters Association. The three non-voting members include a representative from Kentucky’s Emergency Management, Fire Marshal’s Office, and Fire Rescue Training.
