Thursday February 22, 2007 – American Red Cross Table Top Exercise –

Participated in the American Red Cross – Cardinal Chapter Table Top Exercise as both a participant and evaluator.  The Kentucky State Chapter of the American Red Cross facilitated the exercise.

Tuesday February 13, 2007 – Mach 5 – Earthquake 5 Minute Scenarios; Sessions 17-20 of 52 –

7 members of the DES Organization attended the session.  “Mach 5 – Earthquake 5 Minute Scenarios; Sessions 17-20 of 52”.  Larry Koerber, Henderson EMA Director, facilitated the training.  2 member sent regrets.

Tuesday 11:00 a.m. February 13, 2007 – Hazmat Spill–

Niagara area – Henderson County – the State Duty Officer received a report of a crude oil spill at the Carter Coordinate Section 15 O25.  An oil flow line broke and spilled 1.5 to 2.0 barrels of crude oil.  The oil spill did not get into any navigable waterways.  Mark Lamar from the State Water Quality office was on scene and reported that it was a small spill and straw was placed on the spill with cleanup to follow.

Thursday 2:09 p.m. February 8, 2007 – Hazmat Spill–

Ohio River – Henderson County – 911 received a call from a passer-by traveling over the Ohio River Twin Bridges to report a large oil slick on the water.  Upon investigation a possible oil slick was observed but it was broken and appeared that it was not of a reportable quantity.  No action taken.
